Wildlife increasing under TANAPA

We had good rains in Mkomazi over November and December with additional heavy showers intermittently throughout the first half of January.  The vegetation is therefore still green although will soon start to dry out. Since TANAPA took over from the Wildlife Division in 2008, wildlife numbers are on the increase.  Herds of oryx, zebra, buffalo, elephant, impala, eland and kongoni are all settling.  Lion are heard at night at Maore and Kisima.
